Collision Between Honda and Tractor Trailer Leaves One Dead

WOODSBORO, Md. (DC News Now) — One person was killed in a crash in Frederick County on Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.
The collision happened around 1 p.m. when Maryland State Police troopers from the Frederick Barrack responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer.
Investigators said a 2014 Volvo tractor-trailer was traveling north on Woodsboro Pike and entered an intersection on a green light. At the same time, a Honda Accord traveling on Coppermine Road entered the intersection and was hit by the truck.
The driver of the Honda Accord died at the scene. Authorities said they were working to notify the victim’s family.
Woodsboro Pike was closed while police investigated the crash.
