70-Year-Old Man Hit on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf by High-School Driver

WALDORF, Md. — A 70-year-old man was airlifted to a trauma center on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf.
The incident was reported around 7:15 a.m. in the 3300 block of Leonardtown Road near Goldie Farm Place. Callers reported that the man had been hit by a car, and responding crews found him conscious and breathing but suffering from multiple injuries.
Due to the severity of his condition, EMS requested a medevac. Early information indicates the driver was a Thomas Stone High School student who remained at the scene and was uninjured.
Firefighters set up a landing zone at Thomas Stone High School, allowing Maryland State Police helicopter Trooper 2 to transport the patient to the trauma unit at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
