HUGHESVILLE, Md. — Two women were injured in a two-vehicle rollover crash on Leonardtown Road (Route 5) near Gallant Green Road early Tuesday morning, January 14, 2025.

The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m., involving a red Chevy pickup and a red Toyota passenger car. Emergency crews found both vehicles in the roadway but reported no entrapment. EMS evaluated the patients on the scene and transported a 77-year-old female and a 33-year-old female to area hospitals for further medical treatment.

Preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the Toyota was trying to cross Route 5 and failed the right of way when the Chevy struck the Toyota.

Troopers with the Maryland State Police continue to investigate the crash.
