Mechanicsville Rear-End Crash Sends One to Hospital

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A rear-end collision on northbound Three Notch Road sent one driver to the hospital Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2025.

The incident occurred around 1:57 p.m. near the intersection with Mechanicsville Road, when a sedan struck the back of a truck, severely damaging the car’s front end.

Emergency crews arrived quickly, providing on-site treatment before transporting one person by ambulance to UM Capital Region Medical Center.

Airbags deployed during the crash, and debris scattered across the roadway, leading to temporary traffic delays. Cleanup crews remained on scene to remove the wreckage.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
