Incident Information

Easton police are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a 24-year-old man on Sunday afternoon. Robert Stacey Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene after his Kawasaki motorcycle lost control and fell to its side while he was traveling west on Ocean Gateway (US 50). Both the motorcycle and Stacey traveled a distance before they struck the rear of a Lincoln Navigator. The driver of the Navigator, 41-year-old Eric Higgenbottom, was not injured in the crash. Westbound Ocean Gateway remained closed until about 7 p.m. while police investigated the accident.
