A 75 Year Old Man Struck by Honda Accord In a Hit and Run Pedestrian Accident Resulting in Death
Incident Information
The Baltimore County Police Department is working tirelessly to piece together the events that led to a tragic accident that took the life of a 75-year-old man on Wednesday night. Authorities responded to a reported pedestrian crash near the intersection of Painters Mill Road and Owings Choice Court just after 11 p.m.
The detectives from the Crash Team reveal their findings in this case of the late Reginald Haysbert. It has been determined that he was struck by a dark colored or black 2013-2015 Honda Accord while he was walking down the southbound side of Painters Mill Road. The vehicle did not stop after the collision, leaving Haysbert to be attended to by medics and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Haysbert was a man who wore many hats and made a significant impact in the community. Not only was he the president of The Forum Caterers, but he also served on the board of Associate Black Charities and was a dedicated member of the American Legion Owings Mills.
This serves as a somber reminder to always be aware of our surroundings and to drive with caution. It’s important for drivers to remember to stay vigilant on the roads and prioritize safety for all pedestrians and fellow motorists. Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time.
