Police Investigating Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle In Prince George’s County

Tragedy struck this past weekend in District Heights as the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal collision involving the death of a motorcycle victim. It was reported that the motorcycle rider, a young male, unfortunately passed away. Identified as 33-year-old Kristopher Antonio Watson from Washington, DC, this news has shaken the local community. The incident occurred late Saturday night, with officers responding to the area of Forestville Road and Marlboro Pike at approximately 11:10 pm where the accident had taken place. 

Based on the preliminary investigation, it seems that the victim was riding the motorcycle northbound on Forestville when he collided with the back of a car that was in a left turn lane. This caused Watson to be thrown off of his bike and then tragically struck by a second vehicle shortly after. Thankfully, both of the drivers remained on the scene to provide aid and assistance wherever they could. Sadly despite their efforts, Watson was pronounced deceased at the hospital not much longer after his arrival. As investigators continue their inquiry, the tragic accident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for caution on our streets and highways.
