John joined Zirkin & Schmerling Injury Lawyers in 2026. Prior to his arrival, John worked as a Public Defender in Baltimore City for nearly 7 years. He participated in both Bench and Jury trials, representing indigent individuals accused of assault, drug possession, firearm use, and incarcerable traffic offenses. Prior to his time as a Public Defender, John clerked for The Honorable Philip S. Jackson in The Circuit Court for Baltimore City.

John is a lifelong Marylander who attended Loyola Blakefield, the University of Maryland, and the University of Baltimore School of Law. In his free time, John plays an active role in his community, coaching soccer, volunteering at BARCS, and participating in his local neighborhood association.
