Teen Killed, Three Injured in Baltimore County Crash

A late-night crash in Baltimore County claimed the life of a young passenger and left three others injured, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on May 1, 2026, along Poplar Hill Road near Merrymans Mill Road in the Cockeysville area. Authorities say the vehicle left the roadway for reasons still under investigation and struck a tree.

Ryan Duvall, 18, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Three minors who were also inside the vehicle were injured. Two of those individuals suffered life-threatening injuries, while the third was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The make and model of the vehicle have not been released, and authorities have not yet disclosed whether factors such as speed, driver inexperience, impairment, or road conditions contributed to the crash.

Duvall was remembered by members of his community as a positive influence and role model. He trained at a local martial arts school, where instructors described him as respectful, disciplined, and supportive of others.
