Young Motorcyclist Dies After Beltsville Crash

Prince George’s County police have identified the motorcyclist who died following an early-morning crash in Beltsville as a 20-year-old Oxon Hill resident.

The collision occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. Friday, August 21, in the 10700 block of Tucker Street in Beltsville. Police identified the rider as Inmar Campos-Rivera.

Investigators said Campos-Rivera was traveling along Tucker Street when, for reasons that remained under investigation, he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.

Emergency responders transported him from the scene to a hospital. Despite medical treatment, he later died from his injuries.

Neither FOX 5 nor the Prince George’s County Police Department’s initial report identified the motorcycle’s make or model. No second vehicle was mentioned, making the event a reported single-motorcycle collision based on the information released by investigators.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating what caused Campos-Rivera to lose control. Police have asked witnesses, along with residents or motorists who may possess dash-camera or home-surveillance recordings, to provide investigators with footage that could help establish the events immediately preceding the crash.

The fatality occurred during a month in which motorcyclists represented a significant share of Maryland’s roadway deaths. State transportation officials reported eight motorcycle fatalities during August as of August 24 and 53 motorcycle deaths statewide during 2026 at that point.
