PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — A woman was killed Saturday night after being hit by a car in Frederick, according to the Frederick Police Department.

Officers were called to the 6900 block of Oxon Hill Road around 8 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian crash. When they arrived, they found a woman lying unresponsive in the roadway.

Police said the woman, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved stayed on-site and is cooperating with investigators.

The crash remains under investigation.
