Thomas Johnson Bridge Crash Shuts Down Traffic

A single-vehicle crash on the Thomas Johnson Bridge shut down traffic Thursday afternoon and prompted an emergency response involving rescue crews and law enforcement.

The crash was reported at approximately 2:43 p.m. on July 9, 2026, on the Thomas Johnson Bridge between Calvert and St. Mary’s counties.
