Motorcyclist Dies After Millersville Crash

A 70-year-old Millersville man died after a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon on Veterans Highway in Anne Arundel County.

According to WMAR and Anne Arundel County police, officers responded at about 3:07 p.m. on June 24, 2026, to a two-vehicle collision on northbound Veterans Highway, just north of Brightview Road in Millersville. Investigators said Charles Braun, 70, was riding a 1982 Yamaha XJ650 northbound when he attempted to change lanes across uneven pavement.

Police said Braun lost control of the motorcycle, was thrown from the bike, and fell into the path of a Chevrolet Colorado. Emergency crews transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Chevrolet Colorado was driven by a 29-year-old man, who police said was not injured. Authorities did not report any charges at the time of the article.

Anne Arundel County’s Crash Reconstruction Team processed the scene and is leading the investigation. Investigators will likely review the roadway surface, vehicle positions, witness statements, speed, and whether the uneven pavement contributed to the crash.
