35-Year-Old Man Hit and Killed by Lincoln SUV in Easton

Incident Information

EASTON — The Easton Police Department is investigating a fatal car accident that occurred early Wednesday morning on westbound U.S. Route 50 near Woodridge Drive.

According to a press release, the accident, which involved a pedestrian who was pronounced dead at the scene, happened around 4:20 a.m Wednesday morning.

Initial reports indicated that a 60-year-old woman was driving a 2015 Lincoln MKC in the right lane of U.S. Route 50. As she approached Woodridge Drive, a 35-year-old man from Easton entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. Neither the driver nor the pedestrian have been identified by authorities.

The driver of the Lincoln was transported to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation led to the closure of the road for approximately four and a half hours. The Easton Police were assisted by the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, Maryland State Police, the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, and the Maryland State Highway DART Team.
