BALTIMORE — A man has died following a hit-and-run collision in downtown Baltimore early Thursday morning.

Police were called to the intersection of North President Street and East Baltimore Street after reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with critical, life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

According to investigators, the victim was attempting to cross the intersection when he was hit by a car that left the scene without stopping.

The Baltimore Police Department’s Crash Team is currently investigating the incident.
