Ford F-150 Collides with Pedestrian Resulting in Injuries
On Thursday evening, Aug. 18, 2022, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in Laurel Grove. Upon arrival, they found the pedestrian suffering from serious injuries. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit arrived on the scene and began their investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that 36-year-old Matthew Scott Hurry of Leonardtown was attempting to cross Three Notch Road when he was struck by a 2018 Ford F-150 operated by 62-year-old James Windsor of Mechanicsville. Hurry was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Police say that the pedestrian’s failure to yield the right of way was a factor in the collision. If you saw what happened or have any information, please call DFC Matthew Beyer at 301-475-4200, ext. 78005, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
