Motorcycle Crash Kills Driver, Critically Injures Passenger in Columbia

The Howard County police department is currently investigating a tragic motorcycle collision that occurred this week in Columbia. The incident claimed the life of one person, leaving family and friends to mourn the unexpected loss.

Around 8:30 in the evening of September 4th along Route 29 and Rivers Edge Road, without any known reason, a 2006 Yamaha R6 veered from the road, causing the driver and passenger to be hurled from the vehicle. Though both were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, the driver unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the woman who was riding as his passenger remained in critical condition.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident, with the hope of bringing some closure and understanding to those affected by this terrible event.
