Incident Information

A Baltimore County family is asking for help and accountability after a hit-and-run in Woodlawn left a young man dead, with police continuing to search for the vehicle involved.

According to reports and family statements, 20-year-old Christopher B. Teah Jr. was struck around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the intersection of Security Boulevard and Gwynn Oak Avenue. Family members said Teah had just gotten off the bus and was walking the short distance home when he was hit while crossing the roadway.

Relatives told reporters the driver stopped briefly, got out, looked at Teah, and then left the scene without calling for help. Teah was taken to a hospital and died the next day, the family said.

Baltimore County police have described the suspect vehicle as a silver/gray sedan with front-end damage consistent with striking a pedestrian. Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen the crash—or a vehicle matching that description in the area afterward—to contact authorities.

During a vigil near the intersection, Teah’s family shared memories of someone they described as energetic and deeply connected to his community. His uncle, Kelvin Teah, questioned the decision to flee and stressed that calling 911 could have changed the outcome. Family members also noted that Teah was known as “Courage,” a nickname they said fit his personality.

Police have asked anyone with information about the crash or the suspect vehicle to call 410-887-4636.
