Car Accident in Queen Anne County Results in Injuries and Death

Unfortunate news hit the town, as a two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 50 near Pippin Farm Lane on Thursday afternoon. Tragically, the accident claimed the life of one person and injured two others. Reports indicate that a Dodge Caravan driven by 24-year-old Kathleen Strawbridge was traveling west on Route 50 when the incident occurred. At the same time, 88-year-old William Minahan was attempting to turn onto Route 50 from a parking lot in his Acura TSX. The preliminary investigation suggests that Minahan failed to yield the right of way, leading to a collision with the Dodge.

Sadly, Minahan lost his life in the crash, while Strawbridge and her young child of 2 years were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The incident led to the closure of the roadway for over three hours as authorities conducted an investigation.
