CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — A two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon left one car overturned and sent one person to a trauma center in Charlotte Hall.

The collision occurred around 4:40 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2025, at the intersection of Three Notch Road (Route 5) and New Market Road. When crews arrived, they found both vehicles damaged and the occupant of the overturned car already out of the vehicle.

EMS personnel evaluated several people at the scene. One patient was taken by ground to UM Capital Region Medical Center, while others declined further treatment.

Northbound Route 5 was temporarily shut down as fire, EMS, and police responded. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
