Tragedy struck yesterday afternoon on the Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County when a fatal pedestrian crash occurred. The Maryland State Police are investigating the incident, which claimed the life of Olumide Stephen, a 55-year-old Washington D.C. resident. Stephen, who was driving a silver 2021 Toyota Highlander, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical service personnel. The heartbreaking event took place at around 2 p.m. when troopers from the College Park Barrack arrived on the scene of the crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Stephen was outside of his Toyota Highlander, changing his right rear passenger side tire when the accident happened.  A tragic car accident took place in Maryland involving a black 2010 Toyota Prius and a pedestrian.
