PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Maryland State Police have confirmed multiple fatalities following serious multi-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County this afternoon.

According to officials, at least two people were killed when eight vehicles were involved in a major collision. The victims, both women, were traveling together in the same car.

One other driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on northbound MD-202 (Landover Road) at St. Joseph’s Drive. As of now, all northbound lanes are closed, and traffic is being rerouted to Lottsford Road.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Maryland State Police continue to investigate and will release more information as it becomes available.
