Incident Information

One person is dead and another was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore after a four-car crash on Interstate 95 in Harford County on Wednesday evening, according to Maryland State Police. State troopers responded just before 6:10 p.m. to the northbound lanes of I-95 near the Level Road exit after receiving reports of a collision. A preliminary investigation indicates that a Toyota Camry hit a Maryland Transportation Authority vehicle that was stopped in the left shoulder of the highway.

The Toyota then went into the center lane and hit a Lexus RX350. The Toyota was then struck by a tractor-trailer. A passenger of the Toyota, identified as Ehsan Ulhaq, 52, died at the scene, police said. The driver of the Toyota was flown to Shock Trauma for treatment of injuries. I-95 was closed for about five hours after a crash involving a Toyota and an MDTA vehicle. Two passengers in the Toyota, along with the driver and a passenger of the MDTA vehicle, were taken to hospitals with injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
