Two Hospitalized After Police-Involved Crash

Two people were transported to a hospital Sunday afternoon following a collision involving a Baltimore County police vehicle and a civilian vehicle in White Marsh.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on July 26 at the intersection of Philadelphia Road and Ranelagh Road.

Authorities said two occupants of the civilian vehicle reported injuries following the impact. Both were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Their injuries were described as minor. The ages and identities of the two civilians were not released.

The initial report did not indicate whether the police officer was injured. It also did not state whether the officer was responding to an emergency, using emergency lights or a siren, transporting another person, or engaged in routine travel when the crash occurred.

The makes and models of the vehicles were not identified. Police also did not provide a preliminary account of which vehicle had the right of way or how the collision unfolded.
