Incident Information

The Maryland State Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle accident that occurred on Saturday evening in Prince George’s County.

Quintin Barnes, 37, of Reisterstown, Maryland, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle with Jasmine Jeffries, 19, whose residence is unknown, as his passenger. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of a Dodge involved in the accident were transported to the University of Maryland Capital Regional Medical Center in Largo, Maryland, for their injuries.

Around 8 p.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Forestville Barrack responded to a crash report on northbound Interstate 495 at Branch Avenue. Preliminary findings indicate that Barnes’ Harley, traveling north on I-495, struck the rear of the Dodge for reasons yet to be determined.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
