Victim not named; 20-year-old airlifted after Oliver Shop Road crash
Incident Information
A 20-year-old man was flown to a trauma center Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle crash in La Plata.
The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. on June 13, 2026, near Oliver Shop Road and Crescent Run Street. A 911 caller reported that the motorcyclist had flipped the bike and was walking after the crash.
Emergency crews evaluated the rider at the scene before requesting a medevac. Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 2 airlifted the patient to UM Capital Region Medical Center.
Oliver Shop Road was shut down in both directions during the emergency response, with traffic blocked from Route 6. Police are investigating the crash.
