On Sunday morning, a fatal car crash killed a 62-year-old woman on eastbound I-70 near the 64-mile marker, according to the Maryland State Police. Troopers responded to the scene around 7:15 a.m. and found Margaret Yonge inside of a Toyota RAV4. Investigators determined that Yonge had crossed over from her westbound lane into the eastbound lane, causing a collision with a Ford Escape. The driver of the Ford Escape, 61-year-old Guanghao Zheng, was injured in the crash and taken to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment. Medical personnel pronounced Yonge dead at the scene of the crash. The Maryland State Police is investigating the cause of the crash.
