PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man died after being struck by a vehicle in Temple Hills on Wednesday night, according to police in Prince George’s County.

While details surrounding the crash remain limited, the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) reported that officers responded to the 4700 block of Saint Barnabas Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on March 5 for a pedestrian accident. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying in the roadway with visible trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Thursday morning, police identified the victim as 56-year-old Kilinia Rhone of Temple Hills.

PGPD confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured. Initial findings suggest that Rhone was struck by the vehicle while in the northbound lanes of St. Barnabas Road.

The department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
