Car Accident: One Person Injured On Harrison Boulevard

Incident Information

On the evening of September 5, 2024, at approximately 5:47 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of Harrison Boulevard and East Chesapeake Beach Road. Upon arrival, first responders encountered a multi-vehicle collision, with one vehicle overturned, creating a chaotic scene.

Fortunately, despite the severity of the accident, all occupants involved had managed to exit their vehicles and were walking around by the time the emergency crews arrived. EMS personnel promptly assessed the situation and evaluated one individual for potential injuries on-site. After an initial assessment, that patient was transported to CalvertHealth Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

In addition to the transported patient, four other individuals involved in the accident declined further medical attention. They signed care refusal forms at the scene, indicating that they did not require or wish for transport to a medical facility.

As the emergency crews cleared the scene, local law enforcement remained on-site to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the accident. Authorities are continuing to gather information and assess the factors that may have contributed to the collision.
