Bus Hit By a Car on 100 Block of Maryland Route 30 in Hampstead

A car collided with a school bus on Route 30 Thursday morning, according to Maryland State Police.
Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash on the 100 Block of Maryland Route 30 (Hanover Pike) in Hampstead, where one of the vehicles involved was a school bus.
A Carroll County Public Schools spokesperson confirmed that Bus 376 was struck by an oncoming vehicle that crossed into the opposite lane. Police reported the car hit the bus head-on in the northbound lane, causing significant damage to the bus, which was no longer drivable.
The car’s driver, Brandon Roser, was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with non-life-threatening injuries. Both the bus driver and a passenger were unharmed, but a student aboard the bus was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, according to Maryland State Police. Maryland Route 30 was closed for about four hours with assistance from the Maryland State Highway Administration.
