Hit-and-Run on Windsor Mill Beltway Damages State Trooper Patrol Car
Incident Information
WINDSOR MILL, Md. — A Maryland State Police trooper’s patrol car was struck in a hit-and-run incident on the Beltway overnight.
Authorities reported that the trooper had pulled over at approximately 1:34 a.m. on the Inner Loop near Windsor Mill Road to assist a motorist whose vehicle was on the right shoulder of the road.
While the patrol car had its emergency lights flashing, a minivan collided with it, causing damage to the vehicle. Fortunately, the trooper was not inside the patrol car at the time of the crash, and no injuries were reported by either party.
Police are now seeking a 2013-2017 dark-colored Honda Odyssey minivan in connection with the incident. The vehicle may have sustained damage to its passenger side, front bumper, fender, and hood during the collision. Additionally, the minivan is believed to have an unknown small sticker located on the bottom rear window on the driver’s side. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or the crash to come forward.
