Multi-Vehicle Crash Injures Three on Interstate 495 in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer shut down several lanes on the Outer Loop of I-495 near the American Legion Bridge early Wednesday morning.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials reported the crash occurred around 4 a.m. near Clara Barton Parkway and involved three vehicles.
Three people were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Hazmat crews were also called to the scene to handle a fuel spill resulting from the collision.
As of early Wednesday morning, three lanes remained closed while authorities investigated the crash.
