Car Accident: 1 Killed on Great Mills Road at East Run Drive

In a heart-wrenching incident unfolding on the morning of March 5, 2024, an 87-year-old man lost his life following a devastating collision involving two vehicles in Lexington Park, Maryland. The Maryland State Police and emergency responders swiftly converged on the scene at the intersection of Great Mills Road and East Run Drive around 8:35 am, encountering a grim situation with grave injuries to one passenger.

Joseph Leroy Greer, hailing from Dameron, MD, was identified as the passenger in the vehicle deemed at fault in the accident. Found in critical condition, despite the immediate medical interventions, Mr. Greer’s life couldn’t be saved as he was rushed to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.

The driver of the same vehicle, Mary Nell Greer, also 87 and from Dameron, MD, along with the drivers of the other vehicles involved, sustained injuries that, thankfully, were not life-threatening. The authorities have opted not to disclose further details concerning the specifics of the collision or the current condition of the other individuals involved.
