1 dead, 3 seriously injured in Montgomery Co. Crash

Incident Information

Tragedy struck early Sunday morning around 4am when a multi-car crash claimed the life of one person and left three others critically injured. The incident occurred on the eastbound lane of the Intercounty Connector (Route 200), by Exit 8, and prompted the Maryland Transportation Authority police to respond immediately. 

The police found a silver Toyota Corolla, a purple Honda Odyssey and a black Nissan Rogue, all of which had been involved in the horrific accident. Despite the best efforts of emergency responders, one passenger in the Nissan whose identity has not been identified was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Toyota, the Nissan and another passenger who was also in the Nissan, are all currently hospitalized with critical injuries. 

The Honda that was also involved in the accident left both the driver and a passenger with minor injuries. While the individuals have been taken to the hospital for further attention, police are continuing their investigation. At this time, they have not released any information about the identities of those involved in the incident. As we await the conclusion of their findings, let us use this as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of paying attention, obeying traffic laws, and taking necessary precautions while on the road.
