A Pedestrian Has Died After Being Hit by a Vehicle in Seat Pleasant

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Seat Pleasant on Thursday evening.
According to the Seat Pleasant Police Department, officers responded around 7:10 p.m. to the area of East Capitol Street and Davey Street. When they arrived, first responders found a pedestrian with severe injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the striking vehicle fled and did not remain at the crash site.
Just after 8 p.m., officials announced on X that the westbound lanes of East Capitol Street were closed between Crown Street and Southern Avenue. The roadway reopened early Friday morning.
