Four-Vehicle Crash Sends One to the Hospital in Leonardtown

LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A four-vehicle rear-end collision on Point Lookout Road near Ledo Pizza sent one person to the hospital Tuesday morning, Sept. 2, 2025.
The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. after 911 callers reported possible entrapment. Fire and EMS crews arrived to find all occupants safely out of their vehicles.
Medics evaluated one individual at the scene before transporting them to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Several vehicles suffered significant front-end damage, and at least one car’s airbags deployed in the impact. Drivers are advised to use caution in the area as traffic delays are expected while crews clear the roadway and tow the damaged vehicles.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the collision.
