Pickup Truck, Volvo SUV and Tesla Crash, Resulting in Multiple Deaths
Incident Information
In an unfortunate incident that occurred on Wednesday morning in east Baltimore, a traffic accident claimed the lives of two individuals, including a minor. The Baltimore City Police responded to the emergency in the vicinity of the 3500 block on Belair Road where multiple vehicles were involved.
Among the fatalities were a woman and a child who were occupants of a red SUV and were declared deceased at the scene. The collision also involved a white pickup, black Volvo SUV, and a blue Tesla. There were reports from onlookers who thought an explosion had occurred. In an act of compassion, a pastor from The Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church attempted to pull one of the victims from the wreckage.
Despite these efforts, fire department spokesman Kevin Cartwright confirmed that the victims were already deceased. Additionally, a local resident mentioned efforts to aid an injured child, ensuring the child remained on the ground until help arrived.
The investigation led by the Baltimore City Police crash team is underway, with preliminary assessments suggesting that high speed may have been a contributing factor in the devastating crash.
