Baltimore City Bus and Car Crash on Charles Street

Baltimore police report that a city bus was involved in a crash on Sunday in the Federal Hill neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. near the 1100 block of S. Charles Street, when a vehicle collided with the bus. According to witnesses, the bus was part of the Charm City Circulator fleet.

The collision caused both the bus and the vehicle to strike several unoccupied parked cars. One of these vehicles was pushed into the barricade of an outdoor dining area, injuring a patron. Authorities say the individual is expected to recover.

The crash also knocked down a light pole and left a significant amount of debris in the street.

“The car ended up on the other side of the street with three other cars, and there were four cars at a bus stop on this side,” said witness Fred Gibson.

Another witness, Olivia Gibson, described the bus driver as appearing distraught. “She didn’t hurt anybody,” Gibson said. “I was sitting pretty close to the door when it happened, so I’m just so thankful that I’m OK.”
