Tuesday was a tragic evening for Lutherville, as a southbound Light Rail train struck and killed a person in the area south of Timonium Road. At 5:26 p.m., Baltimore County fire crews were dispatched to the scene, where they conducted their search on the tracks and found the victim with life-threatening injuries at 5:45 p.m. In response to this tragedy, MTA set up a bus bridge from Timonium Fairgrounds and Falls Road stops while they investigated and allowed service to resume once again at 9:30 p.m. This heartbreaking incident serves as an eerie reminder of how quickly lives can be taken away.
