Wrong-Way Crash on Route 32 involving Greyhound Bus Results in Injuries and Death

A tragic crash involving a Greyhound bus and a passenger vehicle took place early around 3:30 am Thursday morning in Howard County. The aftermath of the accident has left one man, identified as Samuel King, 37, of Columbia, dead. 18 others were hospitalized as a result of the collision. According to Howard County police, the accident occurred when King was driving his Buick Enclave in the opposite direction on Route 32, ultimately colliding with the Greyhound bus that was initally carrying 38 passengers.

The driver and passengers of the Greyhound involved in the crash were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, but unfortunately, King was pronounced dead on the scene. The incident caused the closure of the eastbound lanes for several hours. However, around 7:50 a.m., all lanes were reopened, providing some relief to the already tense situation.

Greyhound officials quickly issued a statement in response, confirming the incident and noting that their immediate priority is caring for those affected by the head on crash. While authorities continue their investigation into the cause of the collision, Greyhound remains committed to working closely with local officials to ensure the safety of all travelers.
