28-year-old man transported after two-vehicle crash in Charles County
Incident Information
A serious two-vehicle crash in Waldorf, Maryland, left one person hospitalized after a dramatic collision caused a vehicle to overturn.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the crash scene on March 5, 2026, after reports of a two-vehicle accident involving a Cadillac SUV that had flipped onto its roof. The crash occurred in the Waldorf area of Charles County, prompting a response from local police, firefighters, and emergency medical services.
When first responders arrived, they found a Cadillac SUV overturned in the roadway following the impact. Authorities quickly assessed the occupants of both vehicles involved in the collision.
A 28-year-old man who had been inside the Cadillac sustained injuries and required medical treatment. Emergency medical personnel transported him by ambulance to University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.
Other individuals involved in the crash declined ambulance transport but later sought medical care at a hospital with the assistance of family members.
Investigators have not publicly identified the drivers involved in the crash, and the circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation.
Due to the overturned vehicle and debris scattered across the roadway, traffic in the area was temporarily restricted while emergency crews secured the scene and worked to remove the damaged vehicles.
Vehicle rollovers can occur when collisions involve high speeds, sudden impacts, or shifts in vehicle balance—particularly with larger vehicles such as SUVs. Safety experts note that rollover crashes often increase the likelihood of serious injuries because occupants may experience significant forces during the overturning motion.
Charles County authorities continue to examine the crash scene and review witness statements as they work to determine the cause of the accident.
Anyone with additional information about the incident is encouraged to contact investigators.
