Dump Truck Crash in Damascus Shuts Down Lanes of Traffic, Injures Several

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Traffic is slowed and some lanes are blocked in Damascus after a dump truck collided with another vehicle Wednesday morning.
According to Pete Piringer of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, crews responded to the incident just before 7 a.m. on the 27300 block of Ridge Road near Bellison Road. One of the vehicles involved reportedly went about 100 feet off the roadway.
Medics evaluated multiple people for injuries, none of which appeared to be life-threatening. The cause of the crash and the total number of people injured have not yet been confirmed.
