Woman Ejected From Vehicle in Montgomery County Declared Dead at Scene of Crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Montgomery County Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision that occurred late Monday night.
At approximately 10:35 p.m., officers and fire personnel responded to a reported rollover crash at the intersection of Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road.
According to investigators, 71-year-old Mary Elizabeth Moody was attempting to turn left in her white 2018 Subaru onto Mateny Road when her vehicle was struck by a black 2021 Mazda traveling northbound. The impact caused Moody’s vehicle to overturn, ejecting her from the car.
Moody was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mazda, who has not been publicly identified, was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
