A Dozen People Sent to the Hospital After School Bus Crash in Silver Springs

SILVER SPRING, Md. — A school bus crash in Silver Spring sent at least a dozen people to the hospital Tuesday morning, authorities report.
According to officials, the incident involved a school bus and another vehicle. Ten students and two adults sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Montgomery County Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Norwood Road and New Hampshire Avenue at approximately 7:16 a.m.
The bus was en route to Blake High School and was carrying more than 20 students at the time of the crash. Montgomery County Fire Rescue confirmed that no one was trapped in the wreckage.
The driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
